Bobby Valentino Goes Alone With Blu Kolla Dreams
Posted on July 22, 2008
Bobby Valentino, previously contracted to DTP Records, has signed a new deal EMI with his own personal imprint, Blu Kolla dreams. Valentino was dropped from DTP only three months back, and is now happy to be starting his own label, which his manager, Courtney "Colt Luv" Stewart, defines as "the start of a new business venture for anyone who has taken the Blu Kolla approach and worked extremely hard over time to make an impact in their communities, achieve greatness and make their dreams come true." Valentino will release his new album, The Rebirth, on the imprint, and appears excited about the freedom his own label offers him.
"I have been blessed to be in the music industry for over 10 years, and my past endeavors have been great learning experiences," he said. "Now I have the opportunity to step out on faith and use the knowledge and experience that I have gained to take my career to the next level."
The singer released an iTunes exclusive EP entitled, Come with Me, which was a project undertaken with producer Bill Jabar. The album decribed by Valentino as the following; "Come with Me is an exclusive online release with innovative material created specifically for my true fans."
