Common Once Again Hits The Big Screen
Posted on May 6, 2008
Common is readying to extend his acting roles, by once again hitting the big screen, this time for the next Terminator release, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. This chapter of the Terminator series is based in the future with humans becoming drawn into a war against machines. Christian Bale is scheduled to play the lead character, John Connor, while Common will be Connor's right hand man, as they both unite to command the human attack. Common has already appeared in American Gangster and Street Kings, and also plays a part in Wanted, which debuts 27th June.
In parallel, Common is readying his new album, which as we reported, will contain no help from Kanye West, as Common seeks a more electro sound. Common is also encouraging people to vote in the presidency election. He also has spoken out on the recent controversy surrounding a few of the candidates.
"Obviously the media has an agenda," Common told EW. "I don't follow what the media says. I'm a thinker for myself. I encourage people to be objective. When you're watching use your inner eye and really try and watch a person to see what you think about them because you can never really capture a person in a media blitz."
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is expected n theatres on May 22nd, 2009.
