Eminem hospitalized after tour cancelled

2 days after Eminem cancelled his European Tour, the rapper has now been hospitalized for a sleep-medication dependency. For what was known prior as 'exhaustion and other medical issues', the rap star is now receiving treatment.

Em's label, Interscope Records, recently delivered this statement clarifying a few uncertainties:

"Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, is in the hospital under doctors' care," Interscope Records said in the statement. "He's being treated for dependency on sleep medication." The label would not comment further about where he was being treated or how long he is expected to remain hospitalized.

Tuesday, saw the announcement that Eminem would be cancelling his European Tour due to exhaustion, which would see all 10 dates being cancelled.

These dates are not set to be re-scheduled, but 50 cent has confirmed that he will be going ahead with his own European Tour adding Akon to the lineup.
