Lil Wayne Signs Up Jae Millz To His Record Label
Posted on February 29, 2008
Jae Millz has been signed up by Young Money Entertainment's founder Lil' Wayne, with a remix already in the pipeline and expected to hit radio stations over the next few weeks.
Weezy initially made the announcement in Newark, NJ, during a sold out concert. Shortly afterwards, Millz confirmed the speculation as he releases the news to Complex Magazine.
"Yeah, we just drawing up the paperwork, but I've been rocking with [Lil Wayne] since the first week in 2008," the rapper said via a text message. "I've just been keeping stuff low, but Young Money is what it is, and I'm still Wanna Blow. The 'Holla At A Playa Remix' is going to be out in two weeks. We're moving, Young Moola Baby!"
Lil' Wayne is cementing his position on the business side of the music industry, but has not been as active on his own music for some time, mostly due to the fact that he has spent a large amount of his time in court or preparing for court cases. The rapper has pleaded not guilty to two weapon charges in New York, and faces drug and weapon charges in Arizona on top of that.
