Rick Ross Remains Dismissive About Guard Past

Rick Ross last week was subjected to torments and jeers from the hip hop world, after The Smoking Gun released evidence that the artists has once been a prison guard in the past. Ross has since been defending himself, and is not taking the talk to heart and maintains his innocence of the entire situation. Ross continues to stress that he is a victim of a hater trying to sabotage his image and affect his credibility levels. In a more recent interview, with an Arizona radio station, Ross, when questioned about his alleged past as a prison guard responded with, \"Don\'t believe the hype.\"

\"In the game we in, it\'s real competitive,\" Ross said. \"Competitors have to do what they have to do to eat. We making the best music. ... We the biggest in the game, we the best in the game. Just keeping it real. And anytime somebody can attack my character. Like I said, you get nothing from the Boss. I don\'t give haters the pleasure.\"

With all the internet talk and rumours floating around, Ross believes this strengthens him and will help him achieve better things in his career.

\"When you get to my level, you\'re a great conversation piece,\" the rapper explained. \"I\'m big on the blogs, I\'m big on the magazines, and I appreciate that as an artist. That\'s why I\'m in the game.

\"Just keep the rumours coming,\" he continued.
