Posted on March 14, 2008
Following on from Snoops's successful reality TV show on E!, Snoop had decided to broaden his TV stonghold by starring in his very own animated comedy series, to be broadcast on Comedy Central. The show had began working on a pilot episode and initital plans indicate a late year, or early next year, release. The show will be a journey of a young Snoop Dogg who grows up in Long Beach.
Snoop will also be executive producer of the series, alongside Tom Lynch, better known for his Class of 3000 series featuring Andre 3000.
"We've been looking to get into business with Snoop, who's always fantastic on our roasts. He's one of those people who truly crosses over between music and comedy," Lauren Corrao, senior VP of programming and development at Comedy Central, told EURweb.com.
Further extending his TV career, Snoop has also been hinted at that he will make an extended cameo on ABC soap, One Life To Live," where he will perform his hit single "Sensual Seduction" and second single, "Life of Da Party,", both from his current album, Ego Trippin', at the Ultra Violet club in the town of Llanview.
Snoop will also be making a remix for the theme tune to the Soap.
"I've been a fan of 'One Life To Live' since I was a baby," said Snoop in a statement. "My momma always had it on the tube in the crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the 'Life of The Party.'"
Snoop will appear on the soap on May 8th and May 9th, where his remix will also be first broadcast.
