Timbaland And Jay Z Unite On New Tracks
Posted on July 17, 2006
Timbaland has confirmed any remaining speculation that he will be uniting with Jay Z to collaborate on tracks in the near future for Brooklyn MC. In BBC's 1Xtra show in the UK, the producer hinted heavily at the fact that the two hip hop giants would be joining forces.
He remained relatively quiet about the entire campaign, but suggested that this work will be his primary, if not single focus.
Hip-Hop is too easy for me," Timbaland told 1xtra. "I've got to do something that's challenging. The only thing I got coming out is Jay-Z. I'm not trying to do anything new. I'm trying to do pop. I'm trying to bring Top 40 into the hood."
Jay Z announced that he had retired, but in recent interviews it appears that he is eager to release a new album, but this is yet to be confirmed.
